Figuring everything out. kinda...

Hey everyone! I've been gone for so long, but life just kind of happened so fast. So, I guess let's get to it. I turned 22 while I was away. I didn't do a really big birthday, simply because so much was going on and I've had so many in the past. I'll definitely have another huge birthday bash this year, but I think last year was a time for me to reflect. So, I went to my favorite restaurant in Missouri, Bangkok Gardens (if you don't know, now you do) with my gals! Honestly, it was phenomenal and I couldn't have asked for a better birthday.
My goals for this year was to really get closer to God. Praise Him more, love Him more, worship Him more, and trust Him more. I've been doing okay with this one, still need to do much better, but I'm working on it. Next, I really want to brand myself! I haven't done this at all. My last Instagram post was in September, LOLOLOL! But this is part of it and I am really ready to commit now. Please hold me accountable! And I want to get a kickass job after graduation and move to LA. My heart's in LA, so that's that.
During the last moments of my fall semester, I got offered an internship at CNBC!! Huge!! I accepted, of course! So, I moved to New York in January, and yeaaaaah. I don't think I am necessarily a New York person or maybe I didn't get to fully experience it since it was winter and everyone was inside. I wanted to use this chance to get into those spaces that I see myself in and seriously brand myself. That literally did not happen at all. My internship is good. I love my bosses, but if I'm being honest, my heart is with entertainment and I suck at writing. I'm definitely getting better, but still. I only have 2 stories out, which is incredibly embarrassing because I've been there for 3 months. I'm working on several right now, and it just feels like I can't catch a break. I feel like I'm kind of drowning, and everyone thinks I'm the sugar honey iced tea intern, which is totally not me. National news and writing are just really rough, for me especially. But, I'm still trying so that's all that matters. One foot in front of the other and I'll eventually get there. My goal is 12 articles, and I'm still trying to accomplish that. And honestly, I think I can! Positive affirmations, that is something I've taken on also. My favorite so far is, "I am deliberate and afraid of nothing." Also, "Am I good enough? I am MORE than good enough!"
Now, I'm back in Denver. Our good girl Corona, came and ruined the world. I'm not afraid, though. I'm covered in the blood of Jesus, so I'm fine. It's just annoying because I was basically kicked out of my building. And now I'm just inside all the time. But, I worked with some super cool people and I really hope we stay in contact. They were all funny, not as funny as me, but still. LOLOLOL! I did have some fun times in in NY, but I don't think I want to live there long term. I don't like the train and everything is so close. I'm not hating and I have a ton of respect for New York, but I don't think that is my end destination.
I think that is all for now, but stay tuned. Hopefully, I'll soon have so super fun, crazy, exciting, out of control travel stories or just regular day to day ones. As always, thank you for your time.

This was me in NY at Negril Village. The food was BOMB and the drinks were LITTY! Even a little tipsy in this photo.
